Museum of Northern Arizona
Arizona Project WET partnered with the Museum of Northern Arizona during the summer to implement a Riparian Ecosystems Camp. During this camp, we traveled to various riparian zones in the Colorado Plateau, including Lake Mary, Coyote Springs, San Francisco Springs, Hart Prairie, Cheshire Wetlands, the Rio de Flag and Oak Creek!

Arizona Project WET partnered with the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) to create a Forest Investigators Camp where learners investigated forest ecosystems and fire's role in the forest ecosystem.

Second STEAM Saturdays: The Museum hosted virtual STEAM Events for families on the second Saturday of the month for two years during the pandemic! We partnered with MNA, and adapted a classroom lesson on post wildfire flooding to support our community!

From Camps to Comic Books! APW & The Arb- Creative and Innovative Partners in Education!

Plant Superheroes to the Rescue! During the pandemic, APW & the Arb created an innovative comic book lesson called Plant Superheroes! The lesson teaches about the adaptations of native plants in our high desert ecosystem! We now teach this lesson virtually, in the classroom, at STEM events and as an experiential lesson during field trips at The Arboretum of Flagstaff!
STEAM & Community Events
Each year, APW partners with like-minded organizations to provide education outreach during events such as the Festival of Science, Flagstaff's STEM City Celebration, Earth Day, Colorado River Days and The Arboretum of Flagstaff's Open House!
